Mamacona was the name given to the priestesses or women dedicated to religious service in the Inca Empire.

They lived in communities called Acllahuasi and had various roles, such as weaving fine textiles for the nobility, preparing religious offerings, and performing sacred rituals.

The term can be interpreted as "sacred mother" or "venerated priestess" in Quechua.
